Dear Friends,
As we come to the close of another year, we wanted to look back on the moments that have made this year memorable. Together, we have been able to create times of fun, laughter and togetherness.
This year we expanded our Rooftop Cinema and Drive-In Movie nights to a monthly series in July, August and September. ImageNation teamed with ERP again to organize and produce our movie series. The weather did not always cooperate, but we finally showed all three movies, including The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Our Costco team stepped up to provide snacks for all three movie nights. New friends at Sugar Hill Creamery and Evelyn’s Kitchen – both here in East Harlem – added some treats to make the movies even sweeter.
Once again, October brought our Annual Fall Festival with a little magic, storytelling and music as well as another scavenger hunt. This year Costco came to the rescue and helped us to be able provide turkeys for our Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Aldi joined us and donated side dish items to complete the meal. Through Borough President Mark Levine, Deputy Speaker Diana Ayala and Community Board #11, we found four local organizations. With the help of Positive Workforce, we were able to deliver turkeys to local families and seniors to celebrate Thanksgiving. Finally, our holiday tradition of welcoming Vy Higginsen and the youth of the Mama Music Program and Sing Harlem Choirs sent joyous sounds of the season throughout the center.
On behalf of East River Plaza, our tenants and our team, thank you for your support. We hope that your holidays are filled with joy. May the New Year bring you health, happiness, and peace.
